But, first a message from the Board. The Annual Meeting of the Members will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020 starting at 12:00 noon. We will meet at the Old Pueblo Dance Center, 613 E. Delano Street, Tucson, AZ. All SARDASA members and guest are welcome to attend. Voting is limited to SARDASA members IN good standing.

Join the Sonoran Promenaders on February 15, 2020 in welcoming Garland Smith a caller and round dance cuer who has actively called for over 44 years. He comes from Houston, TX and recently moved to Mesa, AZ. On this Saturday Afternoon we will dance Mainstream & Plus, it all starts at 2:30pm with Pre Rounds, followed by 3:00 – 5:00pm Squares. $8 per dancer; Pizza party follows at $6 per person. On Sunday, March 1, 3:00 - 5:30pm dance to the extraordinary Tony Oxydene, calling Mainstream and Plus with one A1 tip after dance. This event is held at the Old Pueblo Dance Center, 613 E. Delano St., Tucson to accommodate more dancers. Many of us missed the Copper State Festival with Tony in Mesa which was sold out early! Now here’s a second chance to dance with this fantastic caller right here in Tucson. Tony is one of the most popular and sought after callers in the world and travels nearly 300 days annually. Progress into Mainstream with two beginner Square Dance lessons series that are starting up now. Help grow the Square Dance community. Spread the word and invite your friends and join as an Angel at these beginner square dance lessons.
On Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00pm a 10 week bare bones beginner series is offered by Rick Gittelman instructor and caller at the Old Pueblo Dance Center. $50 for the series or $7 per session.
In Sierra Vista there are two opportunities to learn Mainstream each week over the next 14 weeks from Feb 7 to May 15. The lessons are held on Tuesdays from 6:30 – 8:00pm at the Sierra Vista United Methodist Church, 3225 St Andrews Dr, Sierra Vista, AZ, and on Fridays from 6:30 – 7:30pm at the Sierra Lutheran Church, 101 N Lenzner Ave, Sierra Vista, AZ. RUN FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Would you like to serve the dance community and provide your expertise while serving on the SARDASA Board of Directors? Our annual meeting is around the corner, and the nominating committee is seeking applicants for the Executive Team and Members at Large for a one year term that starts after the annual meeting scheduled for March 28, 2020.

The Executive Team comprises of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. There are also five seats open for the Members at Large. You may only serve in one seat at a time, and Club Reps are elected by their Club, thus need not apply here.
To apply and join the Board Of Directors please meet these qualifications;
1. Individual shall be a current member of SARDASA in good standing.
2. Familiarized and understand SARDASA’s Bylaws and the Rules and Policies.
3. Expected to attend SARDASA Meetings regularly.
4. Actively participate on committees. (What committee will you be on?)
5. Promote the Association's programs and activities
6. Notify the President in writing if you cannot attend the meeting.
